Case Study 7: Download Daily Reports to a Local Directory
 
A small business needs to be able to automatically download sales reports from Amazon Seller Central on a daily basis onto a local directory on a stand alone computer.
 

 

 

A Newbie Script was developed to login to the website.
 

 

Navigate to the Orders page.
 

 

The script was programmed to loop thru existing Order Report links
 

 

It automatically processes the "Save As" popup dialog by saving the export file to a user defined directory. The format of the filename is defined as: AmazOrder-MMDDYY-HHMMSSAM.txt, indicating the date and time of download.
Using Newbie Task Manager, the script is scheduled to download the sales reports at a specific time of each business day.
